Spoilers are the wing like attachment fitted to the rear end, mounted on top of the trunk or attached just under the bumper in the front. Since they look sleek and stylish, many believe that spoilers are installed to make the car look trendy and sporty. This is only partially correct. While car spoilers can help improve the external beauty of your car, their main purpose is to improve the aerodynamic condition of your vehicle. These attachments are called spoilers because they ‘spoil’ or disrupt any unfavorable air movement that comes into contact with the body of the vehicle. This makes the car highly fuel-efficient and reliable.
Many racing cars and other high performance sports cars have car spoilers mounted on them. Copying this sporty look, more and more passenger vehicles are also using spoilers. Of course, a sleek and well-kept look not only makes the car look good, it also boosts its resale value. But do not confuse spoilers with car ‘wings’ which basically produce down force when air passes around them.
Make: Car spoilers come in different shapes and styles. You have high hooped spoilers, Lip spoilers and supra styled spoilers, to mention a few. You can also buy custom car spoilers, designed in a variety of styles and colors. Most of these spoilers, regardless of their looks, are made of lightweight materials like fiberglass or polyurethane. These materials are extremely durable and highly flexible, so they will not crack or sag. High impact spoilers are made from a combination of materials, which show high resistance to temperature and impact. Most people like to buy unpainted spoilers so they can paint them in whatever color they desire.
Design: Do not go by looks alone when you buy car spoilers. Car spoilers break the flow of air that comes into contact with the body of the car. This makes the car highly stable on the road because spoilers reduce the lift and increase the traction of the car. Thus, there is maximum contact between the tire and the road. This allows your car to brake, turn and speed up with greater stability. A good car spoiler is one that is designed to reduce lift and increase traction. Select accordingly.
Speed: Spoilers are installed to control the aerodynamics of the car. Aerodynamic drag increases as the car accelerates. Spoilers that are designed for slow speeds will lead to more drag when the car travels at high speed. In the same way, spoilers for speedy cars are not quite effective when the car is moving slowly. So, go for the right make of spoiler for your speed. Again, looks and design aren’t everything!
Because every car has a certain need to fulfill, it is highly recommended that you buy custom car spoilers. That way, you can select just the right design, style, color and make you want. Many online shops have extensive collections of custom car spoilers. You can easily choose one according to your preferences and needs.

Help answer the question about Car Paint
How can I remove house paint from a car?
My lack of judgement by letting someone else drive my black Ford Taurus resulted in the side of my car dented and white garage/house paint etched into the side of it. Besides the dent, is there any way or any product I could use to remove the house paint from my car without removing or damaging the car paint underneath?
