I am going to make a statement that is probably going to shock the car care world. You should never wax your car. Pay attention, wax is for candles and candles only! Wax is designed to melt and melted wax just traps dirt and other contaminates and holds them next to your car’s finish. If someone or something brushes against it you now have tiny scratches all over. This is by far not my only reason for not using wax on cars, read on.

Since January of 2005 when the United States and other governments announced a mandatory reduction in the use of volatile organic compounds or VOCs in manufacturing processes and consumable products there has been a move to look for other products and methods for protecting a car’s finish. Car care products may not be comprised of more than 15% VOC. This is seriously bad news for manufacturers that have built there businesses around Carnauba wax which by its very nature must use large amounts of solvents to make the naturally hard Carnauba soft and pliable so that it can be applied on a vehicle.

Lots of companies had to get rid of complete divisions of car wax products; others had to completely and totally re-engineer products. Still there are others who are completely disregarding the regulations until sanctions are placed against them. I think there is a revolution happening in the car wax industry and I say it’s past time!

The majority of us, at least in the United States were raised and taught by our dads to use Turtle Wax or some kind of Carnauba Wax on our vehicles and I am no exception to this. But, I am always on the lookout for new technology, especially when the current product is really not all that great. Once I found out about the superiority of polymer based products I quickly became a big fan.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem cleaning and shining my car but when I can use a product that will last for 150 washes instead of 15 or 20; I have to go with the 150! I would much rather be out driving my ride and showing it off than sitting in my driveway sweating to death waxing it every weekend. If you would rather be working on your car than driving it you may want to think about making an appointment with a psychiatrist because you definitely have something wrong with your head!

There are many natural factors that contribute to deterioration of car paint. Factors like rain water, wind, bird droppings, and insect fluids have a damaging affect on car paint. It also helps deliver a new, fresh, and impressive look to your car.

If car waxing is done on a periodic basis, even a 10 year old car look as a completely new car with a gleaming and attractive look. Waxing should ideally be done once in every three months. It also plays a vital role in car maintenance and enhances the resale value of the car.

Read below the top 10 tips for car waxing:

1. Wash your car well and dry it completely using a soft cotton cloth. After that use car wax. If the car is not well washed or dried, you wont get the desired shine.

2. There are many types of car wax available in the market today. Some are very effective and some contain abrasives that may have a damaging affect on the car paint. So, it’s very important to choose the perfect type of car wax.

3. Always park your car under shade while waxing. Garage is the best possible place for car waxing.

4. Then dip the damp wax sponge into the car wax and apply gently on the car. Apply wax in a circular motion to have a smooth and levelled affect. If in case you find any kind of lodging on the car paint, wipe it out using a soft terry cloth or an old toothbrush.

5. If using a liquid car wax, make sure that you shake the bottle well before use or else you will get chumps of the car paint.

6.While waxing, don’t touch car surfaces like windows, glass, door trims, and rubber trims. Wax may leave stains there which would be difficult to remove.

7. Apply on one section of the car and then cover the car surface. Once done, smoothly and gently remove the coated wax from the surface. Start removing it from the area where you started.

8. Then, clean and wipe out the remaining wax from the car surface using a soft terry cloth. You can also make use of the window spray cleaner to completely wipe out wax from the car’s surface.

9. If you plan to use the same cloths and fabrics for waxing your car the next time, make sure that you clean all using a liquid fabric cleaner. This keeps them soft and avoid scratching on the car paint when used the next time.

10. Wax your car regularly, at least once in three months. This would deliver a fresh and new look to your years old used car.

If you are stuck which colored car wax would be better for your red or blue car – follow this guide and you’ll find the answer.

Auto dealerships know dark color cars sell fast, so they have to look great! It’s a good feeling to be proud of a good looking car! We all like to hear compliments from our friends and neighbors when the car is shining! And the more you are taking care of it the better it looks. Unfortunately natural oxidation will happen no matter what you do. You can’t prevent a vehicle you drive on the road from being exposed to the elements. There are much more other imperfections that could appear – scratches from cat’s nails, trees, kid’s toys etc., dings from road debris, tar from road works, all kind of nicks and other things that could be the reason of your bad mood. Wax and polish your colored car regularly could reduce the damages and gradually degrades the show room finish on paint leaving it dull and oxidized.

Always use specific car cleaning solutions, special shampoo, bug and tar removal sprays etc. Always wash your car thoroughly and make sure there are no dirt as it can scratch the paint when waxing. Do not use synthetic or abrasive car waxes, high-quality colored car wax always has high concentration Carnauba wax which is produced by the palm tree known as the carnauba tree! Carnauba car wax has the deepest and wettest looking shine. Washing and waxing your car at least twice a month will protect your car’s paint and bring you back a proud of your new Lexus or even 30 year old beloved Ford Mustang!

The color of your car will let you know what product would be better to use. There are thousands and thousands of different colors used to paint the million of cars manufactured every year. Do you know that some paint companies offer more than a hundred different types of white color alone! So your choice is really limited between 8-12 different colored automotive waxes and it’s very hard to choose the colored car wax which will perfectly match your red or yellow car.

Buy Car Wax experts will help you to save time and bring your green or blue car back a great looking finish. Buy Car Wax recommends you to try the following colored car waxes:

Meruiar’s ColorX. Meruiar’s ColorX is a one-step cleaner wax with extraordinary cleaning power that restores clarity to your clear coat without using harmful abrasives. Not only will it remove years of neglect, but it will dramatically restore full clarity to the clear layer of paint resulting in an optically clear surface that enables your eyes to fully experience the beautiful color coat underneath. And best of all, this new wax provides Meguiar’s famous long lasting synthetic polymer protection to lock in the beauty for an extended period of time.

Turtle Wax Color Cure has 5 base colors, which contain dyes and pigments that blend in the various shades in a color range. Color Cure comes with a Chip Stick, a carnauba wax based color stick, to fill in deep scratches and chips. Simply use the color closest to your car’s color to help restore your car to a like new look. Available in black, red, blue, silver and tan.

If you have a dark colored vehicle try Dodo Juice Purple Haze Soft Wax protects the paint from rain, UV rays, and dirt with an ultra slick, reflective coating. Contains Brazilian carnauba and mountain wax, which is a dark-colored wax extracted from coal that improves water repellency and gloss.

Dodo Juice Orange Crush Soft Wax would be best if you are the owner of red hot or sunset orange car. Natural orange oil for wetness and yellow beeswax are added to the mix to give your vehicles color new life and energy. Use Dodo Juice Orange Crush Soft Wax on any warm colored vehicle, including reds, oranges, yellows, and warm metallic.

Now your colored car waxed, it protected from UV rays, rain, and dirt. It is mirror-like, shine and looks great! That is when you know you’ve done the job right!

It’s great to buy a new car with everything that is shining and smelling fresh. Unfortunately, in most of the cases, this shine and fresh smell is lost after about twelve months just because car owners don’t take good care of their cars.

If you take good care of your car, you can have the same shine and freshness in your car even after twelve months or a longer period of time.

Here are the best ways to keep your car shinning new even when it becomes old:

Wash Car Once A Week

To have an everlasting shine in your car, it is very important to have a car wash once every week. While driving dirt and dust gets deposit on the car paint which if not removed n time may cause rusting. Use a soft cleaner to wash the car and dry it with a soft terry cloth. Don’t ever wash the car under the sun as this may cause drying of water droplets and leave water stains on the paint.

To wash the car, first hose off all the dirt and mud from the car. Then, mix the cleaner with adequate amount of water and wash your car using a sponge in a circular motion. Once you are done with the washing, take a soft terry cloth to dry the car.

Wax Your Car with Perfection

After washing and completely drying the car, apply car wax. If you apply wax before the car is completely dried, then you may not get the desired shine.

Let your car be under shade while waxing. Apply wax using a sponge in a circular motion. When applying, make sure that you shake off the excess wax on the sponge or the cloth, whatever you are using to apply wax. Once you are done with it, clean the extra wax on the car using a soft terry cloth.

After waxing, make sure that you wash the cloth with a liquid softener so that you don’t cause damage to the car paint if you use the same cloth the next time.

Apply Tyre Spray to Car Tyres

Shining tyres improves the overall look of the car. So, it is important to take good care of the car tyres.

Wash your car tyres once every week as this part of the car always stay in contact with the road, thereby having maximum deposits of dust, dirt, and mud. Wipe off the dirt using a cloth of a dryer. Wash the tyres properly with soap and water. Once you are done with it, polish the car tyres using tyre polish. These days you get high gloss tyre spray in most of the car accessories shop.

Clean the Car Interiors

Cleaning the interior is equally important when it comes to maintaining the shine of your car. To clean the car interiors, first remove all the trash, paper, and extra materials from the car. Then, remove the car mats and vacuum them. Also vacuum the car seats, car door upholstery, and carpets. You can even use a leather conditioner to give a fresh and shining look the leather car seats. Using a brush or a spray, clean the car electronics, dashboard, and other delicate interiors of the car. To clean the car windows, you can use a glass cleaner. Once you are done with the complete cleaning, place back the mats and carpets.
