In order to keeps luxury car looking hot and trendy it is important to carry out detailing from time to time. People that regularly service their auto’s technical and body parts are familiar with car polish and wax products used by all details to bring back the glossy surfaces. The polish contains certain mild abrasives or other substances that cause chemical reactions such that in the end it makes the painted surfaces appear soft and glossy.

The car wax on the other hand ensures that the paint oils stick on thus the surfaces cannot corrode over time not to mention its other uses such as shielding against destructive UV sun rays, birds droppings and other risks. A coating of wax makes the paint look thick, sparkly and very attractive therefore polishing and waxing are imperative detailing procedures.

These experts use such products as rubbing compounds to get rid of old paint while polishes facilitate removal of less depth of this. Cleaners come in handy whereas the entire procedure is not that effortless, as it requires concentration and seriousness. The most important thing is purchasing the correct products that have above standard quality and then allow a professional to perform everything.

In this condition the polishes remove contaminants from the painted surfaces especially those that look dull after cleaning therefore warranting new application of paint. Wax products on the other hand are available in paste, liquid and spray forms and the former is recommended when the idea is detailing the auto in the long term. Liquid is easy to apply but it is almost temporary and sprays alike but everything depend on the available budget and how much money one is willing to commit. It would be better to perform waxing more often in this case and always focus on the very high quality products.

I am going to make a statement that is probably going to shock the car care world. You should never wax your car. Pay attention, wax is for candles and candles only! Wax is designed to melt and melted wax just traps dirt and other contaminates and holds them next to your car’s finish. If someone or something brushes against it you now have tiny scratches all over. This is by far not my only reason for not using wax on cars, read on.

Since January of 2005 when the United States and other governments announced a mandatory reduction in the use of volatile organic compounds or VOCs in manufacturing processes and consumable products there has been a move to look for other products and methods for protecting a car’s finish. Car care products may not be comprised of more than 15% VOC. This is seriously bad news for manufacturers that have built there businesses around Carnauba wax which by its very nature must use large amounts of solvents to make the naturally hard Carnauba soft and pliable so that it can be applied on a vehicle.

Lots of companies had to get rid of complete divisions of car wax products; others had to completely and totally re-engineer products. Still there are others who are completely disregarding the regulations until sanctions are placed against them. I think there is a revolution happening in the car wax industry and I say it’s past time!

The majority of us, at least in the United States were raised and taught by our dads to use Turtle Wax or some kind of Carnauba Wax on our vehicles and I am no exception to this. But, I am always on the lookout for new technology, especially when the current product is really not all that great. Once I found out about the superiority of polymer based products I quickly became a big fan.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem cleaning and shining my car but when I can use a product that will last for 150 washes instead of 15 or 20; I have to go with the 150! I would much rather be out driving my ride and showing it off than sitting in my driveway sweating to death waxing it every weekend. If you would rather be working on your car than driving it you may want to think about making an appointment with a psychiatrist because you definitely have something wrong with your head!

As the price of a new automobile continues to get higher every year it is necessary to begin thinking of them in the long tem instead of trading as often as we used to. I know I intend to drive my 2005 Nissan Titan until the wheels fall off. I broke my own rule of not buying a new car because I was so enamored with looks and performance of the truck.

There are numerous things that you can do to make your car or truck last longer some cost money and some don’t. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Never neglect the finish of your car. Wash your vehicle regularly and don’t let things like bug splatter and road tar stay on your paint. These items can cause permanent pitting and scarring. If you live in an area that is near the coast or up north where they sort the roads you will need to wash more frequently to remove the salt that can cause rusting. You also want to keep a good protectant on your finish to help protect it. I recommend you look at a good PTFE based product. This is the same thing used on Teflon frying pans. In my opinion you don’t want wax on your car. Wax is good for one thing, candles. It is made to melt under heat, I don’t think I want that on my vehicle.

If you aren’t driving your car keep it out of the elements by garaging it or parking it under some kind of covered parking. If you don’t have access to something like this then buy a water repellant cover for it. I have seen many vehicles ruined just because they were left out in the sun everyday and it oxidized the paint. This will happen rapidly on darker colors and red is especially susceptible.

On the list of items that should just be common sense is regular maintenance. Having your oil changed, tune-ups, and things like belt replacements are all regular upkeep things that must be done if you want your car to last as long as possible. Regular maintenance will go a long way to prolonging the life of your vehicle.

It’s easy to tell the vehicles that are owned by people who care about their vehicles because they will invariably look almost as good as they did when they were bought and in some cases my even look better.

If you always make sure that your car has regular check ups and that you maintain it properly, you mill likely be fortunate enough to not be one of the thousands of motorists that get stuck at roadside each year because their car was not properly maintained and decided enough was enough. Sometimes people forget that a car is a machine and like any other machine they require proper maintenance.

Oil levels need to be checked regularly as well as the temperature that the engine is running at because if it is too hot it will burn oil at unbelievable rates. The last thing that you want to do is let your oil run dry as this can cause your engine to completely cease. Then you are talking big bucks as your choices will be limited to getting a new car or a new engine. Neither of which would be very fun but however would be very expensive and often could have been avoided with the proper maintenance.

Have your oil changed regularly and always make sure that it never runs low. Each time that you have your oil checked or changed make sure that they also check for faulty belts and hoses to save you a lot of trouble down the road. Always have your fluids and coolants checked regularly too so that you can rest easy knowing that such things as your radiator will perform up to par. Flush and/or replace regularly and this also includes transmission fluids too.

Take a look regularly under where you park your car to see if there appears to be any new fluids which could indicate a leak. If you have any knowledge of cars and engines then you might know which colors of leaky fluid a sign of what are such as antifreeze is greenish, transmission fluids are more on the pink side, brake fluid is reddish, and oil is usually brownish. The relevance to knowing this is so you can either attempt to remedy the problem yourself or at least have a good idea of what to tell the mechanic.

Some say that it is healthy to turn your heat and air conditioning on at least once a month, regardless of the time of year to keep them flowing freely at all times. Brakes should be checked regularly and tires should be rotated about every 7,000 miles. In the meantime though, make sure that you inspect your tires yourself and look for anything that may appear to be unusual.

Even the most untrained eye should be able to tell a difference if something is different or unusual when they lift the hood of their car if they have been looking under the hood every now and then. There would be a notice of an unusual looking battery or something that looks suspicious. Preventative maintenance is very helpful in getting the best performance out of your vehicle. Familiarize yourself with the owner’s manual and do things such as have your car waxed once a year for longevity of the exterior coat and have the undercarriage cleaned annually as well. These are all ways to get the most out of your vehicle.

You just bought a car, and just like with any other new thing you simply want it to remain clean and shiny for as long as you can keep it like that, and you might want to protect its paint from the many corrosive elements that can be found in the atmosphere.

You see, prolonging your car’s paint life is very important for various reasons: the first is the look, meaning that it will look like new for a long time.

Another reason is that the better the car looks over time, the better it will look when you want to sell it, and because of this, you will get a higher price for the car and everybody wants that nowadays.

Since there are so many types of paint applied on cars, some of them even on demand, it is hard to pinpoint the exact product that will suit your car’s paint and say that no other would work better.

If you want to protect your car with one of those many aerosol spray or Car wax, you should know that they wax and polish the car in the same time.

Now, it is imperative to know what wax is good for. Waxing your car periodically is very important if you want to protect the paint finish, and using a spray one will take you less time to wax your car rather than applying it manually on each inch of the vehicle.

The main advantages of aerosol sprays are that they will polish your car in no time and most of the time without you getting dirty at all.

Of course, all the products on the market will tell you that they will protect your car (actually, most of them will claim that they will protect your car better than others, but that is just another marketing bit) but the unfortunate part about bad wax is that it becomes soft when it is too hot outside.

In addition, remember that it will almost fry the wax because your car’s metal parts will reach very high temperatures. One of the strongest, hardest waxes on the market is the #14 yellow Carnauba – it is actually way slicker and stronger than most of those traditionally used auto waxes.

Now, for some people the price may be a problem but you have to know that it is worth every penny you give over the general price. With this wax you can use a non-abrasive rag, because you will improve the shine as well.

The harder the wax is, the longer it will stay on your car and you will not always have to be up to your elbows in wax. Actually, waterless washing with aerosols and applying
