The ultimate way to change the appearance of your car and make it look new is to change the color. If you are tight on budget and wants to spray paint yourself, the only little crossroad you will encounter is the car paint mixing techniques that will result on an even spray.

Your finished job will inadvertently depend on the materials you used and how careful you mixed your paints. Fortunately, your manufacturer has included a guide to help you mix your paints by following the specifications unlike in the old when painters will mix paints by weighing.

Step 1.
Get your workbench prepared. The quality of any job is determined by how much preparation you employed and paint mixing is inclusive. Tidy up your workbench and situate your paint supplies and tools where you can reach them easily. If you have done that, let us move to the next level.

Step 2.
Every paint supplies come with an-easy-to-follow user manual. Read the specifications carefully as this will act as a guide while mixing your paints in a pail. Are you done with that? Go on to step 3.

Step 3.
It is time to make a decision on what you need; the amount of paint you will require for your painting. Assuming you want to touch up, you would not want to mix a full can of spray paint. Decide how much ounces of paint you want as you will see the markings on your paint cup. When you have determined the level of ounces you need, refer to the specifications given by the manufacture and mix accordingly.

Step 4.
Get a mixing pail which has been calibrated with different mixing ratios. Pour your determined paint into the mixing pail up to the number of ounces you wish. Remember to refer to the manufacturer’s manual before you add the reducer into the same mixing pail.

Final Step.
You can mix 12 ounces of paint at the ratio of 8:1 with the reducer. When you are done, Thoroughly Stir the mixed paint thoroughly with a stir stick; pour the paint into spray gun and you are ready to paint your car. Remember not to mix product types; do not mix lacquer remover and enamel paint because it can cause a dangerous chemical reaction and will definitely not mix together as you want.
